Maitreyi College DU Assistant Professor Eligibility 2025

Eligibility is defined as per UGC Regulations 2018.

A. Master’s + NET

• Master’s degree in relevant subject with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
• Must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or equivalent SET/SLET.

B. Ph.D. (NET Exempted)

• Ph.D. awarded in accordance with UGC 2009/2016 regulations, OR
• Ph.D. from a top 500 global university (QS/THE/ARWU rankings).

Additional Ph.D. Conditions (Pre-2009)

• Regular mode Ph.D.
• Two external examiners
• Open viva
• Two research publications
• Two conference presentations

Age Limit

As per DU norms. Relaxations apply for reserved categories.

Assistant Professor Experience Criteria

• Teaching/research experience post-qualifying degree may be counted.
• Duration of M.Phil./Ph.D. research is not considered as experience.
