The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) invites applications from retired officers of the Assam Finance Service (AFS) for engagement as Finance Officer on a contractual basis. The engagement is based at ASDMA Headquarters in Guwahati and will follow Assam Government’s norms of appointment and remuneration for retired personnel.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

• Only retired AFS (Assam Finance Service) officers are eligible to apply.

• Candidates must be physically and mentally fit to discharge duties.

• Applications from ineligible candidates will be summarily rejected.

💼 Roles & Responsibilities

As the Head of Accounts Wing, the Finance Officer shall:

• Prepare budget estimates under various heads (Admin Expenses, Mitigation Fund, Response Fund).

• Prepare and scrutinize pay bills, TA bills, contingent bills, etc.

• Ensure monthly bank reconciliations with books of accounts.

• Compile monthly and quarterly financial reports and statements.

• Prepare Annual Accounts for audit and handle audit objections.

• Supervise daily cash book and ledger maintenance by the Accountant/Accounts Assistant.

• Ensure compliance with Delegation of Financial Rules, 1999 (Annexure-II).

• Perform any other duties as assigned by CEO/Dy. CEO of ASDMA.

💰 Remuneration

• Remuneration: Will be fixed as Last Basic Pay Drawn minus Pension.

• No additional allowances like TA/DA will be paid for attending interviews.
