About the Opportunity:

The Defence Bioengineering and Electromedical Laboratory (DEBEL), a leading R&D wing under DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, is inviting applications from young and motivated Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions. This is a prestigious opportunity for candidates interested in cutting-edge defence research.

Available Positions and Qualifications:

✅ JRF-01 – 01 Post

Discipline: Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation

• Essential Qualification:

  • BE/B.Tech with First Division + Valid GATE/NET

  • OR

  • ME/M.Tech with First Division at both UG & PG levels

✅ JRF-02 – 01 Post

Discipline: Polymer Science & Technology / Textile Engineering / Textile Technology / Textile Chemistry / Fibre Science

• Essential Qualification:

  • BE/B.Tech with First Division + Valid GATE/NET

  • OR

  • ME/M.Tech with First Division at both UG & PG levels

General Terms:

• Tenure: Initially for 2 years, extendable up to 4 years (including SRF level based on performance).

• Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on last date (Relaxation as per Govt. rules for SC/ST/OBC).

• Fellowship Amount: As per DRDO norms (typically ₹37,000/month for JRF).

• Location of Work: DEBEL Campus, Bengaluru

Selection Process:

• Shortlisting based on eligibility criteria.

• Interview will be conducted (may include written screening test).

• Candidates must carry original documents for verification.

• Final selection is at the discretion of the DEBEL Selection Committee.
