Mizoram University, Aizawl, invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project Assistant under the SERB-CRG Research Project titled “Potential effect of climate change on hydrochemical regimes of wetlands in Aizawl district, Mizoram”, funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi. The project is being carried out in the Department of Environmental Science, under the supervision of Prof. B.P. Mishra.

This is a great opportunity for postgraduates in Environmental Science or related fields looking to contribute to climate and wetland research.

🔍 Post Details

• Position: Project Assistant

• Vacancy: 01

• Project Duration: Till completion of the project (up to 27 March 2026)

• Fellowship: ₹20,000 + HRA per month (as per SERB norms)

• Project Type: Temporary and co-terminus with the project

• Last Date to Apply: 11 August 2025

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Master’s Degree in Environmental Science or allied subjects

• Specialization aligned with the project theme is required

Desirable Experience:

Candidates with the following skills will be given preference:

• Hands-on knowledge of plant-soil-water analysis

• Experience with Remote Sensing & GIS

• Ability to perform geospatial mapping and modeling of springsheds
