MAMC Recruitment 2025 – Data Manager & Infection Control Nurse

Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, invites applications for 1 post each of Data Manager and Infection Control Nurse under the State AMR Surveillance Network and National AIVIR Surveillance Network – IVIAMC Site, Department of Microbiology.

These positions are contractual and co-terminus with the programme. Candidates with prior experience in Healthcare-Associated Infection (HAI) surveillance and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) will be preferred.

Post Details

Duration: Till 31st March 2026, extendable based on performance and programme funding.
Job Location: Department of Microbiology, MAMC, BSZ Marg, New Delhi (including visits to hospital ICUs, wards, etc.)

Essential Qualifications

Infection Control Nurse:

• BSc Nursing from a recognized institution, trained in Infection Prevention & Control
  OR

• Diploma in Nursing with at least 1 year of hospital experience (government/private)

Data Manager:

• BSc in Medical Microbiology / Medical Lab Technology (MLT) / Microbiology / Biotechnology with at least 1-year experience in clinical microbiology/bacteriology laboratory

• Experience in AMR surveillance preferred

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Roles & Responsibilities

Infection Control Nurse:

1. Develop SOPs for infection prevention as per national guidelines

2. Conduct surveillance of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) in ICUs

3. Monitor infection control practices across hospital wards

4. Analyze HAI surveillance data and detect outbreak trends

5. Support investigation of HAI outbreaks

6. Highlight priorities for infection control management

7. Any other programme-related tasks assigned

Data Manager:

1. Coordinate with NCDC AMR programme unit for state-level implementation

2. Liaise with microbiology departments of government/private hospitals for pre-assessment

3. Conduct/assist training of lab technicians on AMR surveillance data management

4. Provide feedback on submitted data and ensure corrections

5. Collate and analyze data to generate annual AMR surveillance report

6. Send AMR data to NCDC

7. Prepare presentations of analyzed data

8. Perform any other assigned programme-related tasks

General Terms & Conditions

4. Selection will be based on qualification, experience, and performance; mere fulfillment of eligibility does not guarantee selection.

6. Age and experience will be counted as of the walk-in interview date.

7. Canvassing or influence will lead to disqualification.

8. These posts are purely contractual, with no entitlement to PF, LTC, medical benefits, or permanent employment.

9. Competent authority reserves the right to terminate contract if performance is unsatisfactory.
