Short Information : Income Tax Department Gujarat has released the Income Tax Gujarat Sports Quota Recruitment Notification 2026 to fill 46 vacancies for Tax Assistant and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts under the Meritorious Sports Persons Quota.

Eligible sportspersons can apply online from 31 January 2026 to 21 February 2026 through the official website incometaxgujarat.gov.in.

Income Tax Gujarat Sports Quota Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

• Tax Assistant:
  Graduate degree from a recognized university + Data Entry Speed of 8,000 KDPH
• Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
  Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent

Age Limit (As on 01.01.2027)

• Tax Assistant: 18 to 27 years
• MTS: 18 to 25 years

Age Relaxation

• General / OBC Sportspersons: Up to 5 years
• SC / ST Sportspersons: Up to 10 years
• Departmental Candidates: Up to 40 years (45 for SC/ST)

Sports Eligibility

Candidate must have:

• Represented State or Country in National / International competitions, OR
• Won medals in Junior National Championships, Khelo India Youth Games (18+), Khelo India University Games, SGFI Games, etc., in notified sports.

• Fee must be paid online only
• No fee exemption for any category
• Fee once paid is non-refundable

1.    Visit incometaxgujarat.gov.in

2.    Open the Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 link

3.    Register using valid email ID and mobile number

4.    Fill personal, educational & sports achievement details

5.    Upload required documents:

o    Photograph & Signature

o    Educational Certificates

o    Sports Certificates (Form-1 to Form-5, attested by Gazetted Officer)

o    Age proof, Aadhaar, caste certificate (if applicable)

o    NOC (for Govt./PSU employees)

6.    Pay ₹200 application fee online

The selection process consists of:

1.    Scrutiny of Applications – Based on sports achievements and eligibility

2.    Written Examination – For shortlisted candidates

Final appointment will be subject to:

• Document verification
• Medical fitness
• Police verification
• Negative Doping Certificate

Salary & Probation

• Probation Period: 2 Years
• Service Bond: Minimum 10 years service & representation in sports for the department
