Short Information : Indian Army JAG Entry 124th Course 2026 Notification has been officially released by the Directorate General of Recruiting, Indian Army for the recruitment of Judge Advocate General (JAG) Officers under Short Service Commission (SSC). A total of 8 combined vacancies are available for unmarried male and female law graduates.

Eligible candidates can submit the Indian Army JAG Online Application Form 2026 from 27 January 2026 (3:00 PM) to 27 February 2026 (3:00 PM) through the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Indian Army JAG Eligibility Criteria 2026

Nationality

• Citizen of India / Nepal / Eligible PIO as per notification.

Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 27 Years
• Born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2005.

Educational Qualification

• LLB Degree (3 or 5 years) with minimum 55% marks from BCI recognized university.
• Must have appeared in CLAT PG 2025.
• Eligible for enrollment with Bar Council of India / State Bar Council.

Indian Army JAG Salary 2026

Selected candidates will be appointed as Lieutenant (Level-10 Pay Matrix).

• Basic Pay: ₹56,100 per month
• Military Service Pay: ₹15,500
• Allowances: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Field Area Allowance, Medical Facilities, LTC, Pension Benefits.
