Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 14/2025 inviting online applications for 109 Stenotypist posts in various Punjab Government Departments. Eligible candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree, Punjabi Stenography skills, and required IT course may apply online from 04 December 2025 to 26 December 2025 16 January 2026.

★ Educational Qualifications

✔ Stenotypist

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university

• Must have passed Punjabi up to 10th standard

• Must qualify Punjabi Shorthand at 80 WPM

• Must qualify Punjabi Typing at 20 WPM

• Must pass the Punjabi language test conducted by PSSSB (Minimum 50% marks)

• Must have basic computer knowledge

💰 Application Fee

• General: ₹1000

• SC / BC: ₹250

• Ex-Servicemen (Self/Dependent): ₹200

• Persons with Disabilities: ₹500

📝 Selection Process & Syllabus

The selection will include:

✔ Part-A (Punjabi Language Test)

• Based on Punjab Govt. Notification dated 28.10.2022

• Candidate must score minimum 50% marks

✔ Part-B (Written Objective Test – MCQ)

• Must score minimum 50% marks

✔ Punjabi Stenography Test

• Speed: 80 words per minute

• Transcription: 15 words per minute

• Maximum allowable mistakes: 8%

• Merit list will be prepared based on number of mistakes (0–32 range)

✔ Final Merit

Based on stenography performance and required educational qualifications.
