Short Information : The Satyendra Nath Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences (SNBNCBS), Kolkata, has released the Faculty Recruitment 2025 Notification for Assistant Professor (Pay Level 12) and Associate Professor (Pay Level 13) posts. Eligible candidates with a Ph.D. in Science, Applied Sciences, or Engineering can apply. The last date to submit the application is 30th November 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  Ph.D. in Science/Applied Sciences/Engineering with a strong publication record.
• Experience:
• Assistant Professor: 8 years (including Ph.D.)
• Associate Professor: 10 years (including Ph.D.)
• Age Limit:
• Assistant Professor – up to 40 years
• Associate Professor – up to 45 years

Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms.

Research Areas

• Theory of Data Science and its applications in Material Science, Astrophysics, Biological & Geological Sciences
• Computational Soft Matter
• Quantum Information
• Ultrafast Spectroscopy in Solid States
