UPSC IES/ISS Recruitment 2026 Notification Out – Apply Online for 44 Posts

Short Information : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for Indian Economic Service (IES) / Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination 2026. A total of 44 vacancies have been announced under Advertisement No. 07/2026-IES/ISS.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official UPSC website upsc.gov.in from 11 February 2026 to 03 March 2026 (6:00 PM).

Educational Qualification

✅ For Indian Economic Service (IES)

Candidates must possess a Post-Graduate Degree in any of the following:

• Economics
• Applied Economics
• Business Economics
• Econometrics

✅ For Indian Statistical Service (ISS)

Candidates must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics as one subject
  OR
• Master’s Degree in Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics

All qualifications must be from a recognized university.

Age Limit (As on 1 August 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST – 5 Years
• OBC – 3 Years
• Ex-Servicemen – 5 Years
• PwBD – 10 Years

Application Fee

Fee can be paid through online mode.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be appointed in the Junior Time Scale of the respective services as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

1.    Written Examination (Part I) – 1000 Marks

2.    Viva Voce / Personality Test (Part II) – 200 Marks

Candidates must qualify in both stages to be considered for final selection.
