Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Post Graduate Degree in the relevant specialty from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.
• Qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule of the Dentistry Act, 1948 (Act 16 of 1948).
• 4 years of teaching experience after Post Graduation in the concerned specialty from a recognized dental college.
• Registration with the State Dental Council is mandatory.

Age Limit:

• Maximum Age: 45 years (as of 30th December 2025). Relaxation as per government rules.

Selection Process

The selection for Assistant Professor will consist of two stages:

1.    Computer-Based Written Screening Test:

o   This is a qualifying test.

o   Qualifying Marks:

§  UR/EWS: 50%

§  OBC: 45%

§  SC/ST/PwD: 40%

2.    Interview:

o   Only candidates who qualify the written screening test will be invited for an interview.

o   The number of candidates shortlisted for the interview will be up to three times the number of vacancies.

Salary and Benefits

• Pay Scale: Rs. 67,700/- to Rs. 2,08,700/- per month (Level 11 in the Pay Matrix).
• Additional allowances and Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) will be provided.
• Income Tax will be deducted at source.

Note:

• This position is contractual, initially for 44 days or until the regular incumbent joins.
• Contract may be extended based on availability of vacancy and satisfactory performance.
