National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (NIT Uttarakhand) has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 dated 30 January 2026 inviting eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview (Hybrid Mode) for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA-I / RA-II / RA-III) positions under a MeitY-funded research project.

The recruitment is for the project titled “VLSI Design and Implementation of Imagined Speech-based Neuroprosthesis: An Application in Healthcare System”, funded under Chips to Startup (C2S) Programme – Category-III, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

NIT Uttarakhand invites applications from eligible candidates to attend a Walk-in Interview (Hybrid Mode) for research positions in the Department of Electronics Engineering. The posts are purely temporary and project-based, initially for one year, and extendable till project completion based on performance.

🔹 The institute will decide the level of Research Associate (I/II/III) based on experience.

🎓 Educational Qualification & Eligibility

🔸 Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• M.E./M.Tech / M.S. in:
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Biomedical Engineering
• Digital Signal Processing / Signal Processing
• Minimum First Class in B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech
• GATE / NET qualification is mandatory
• Age: Preferably below 35 years

🔸 Research Associate (RA-I / II / III)

• Ph.D. in:
• Microelectronics & VLSI Design
• Signal Processing
  OR
• M.E./M.Tech with minimum 3 years of research experience and at least one SCI/SCIE journal paper

🔹 Specialization / Experience Preferred in:

• Design & development of Instrumentation Amplifier for EEG
• EEG Signal Acquisition, FPGA implementation
• Machine Learning / Deep Learning algorithms

🛠️ Job Role & Skill Requirements- NIT Uttarakhand Recruitment 2026

• Strong knowledge of Circuit Design for Biomedical Signal Acquisition
• Hands-on experience with EDA Tools
• Implementation of EEG Signal Processing
• Experience with Python / MATLAB / FPGA
• Good technical and communication skills
