NFSU Dharwad Campus Recruitment 2025 – Assistant Professor (Contractual)

National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Dharwad Campus, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has invited online applications for the engagement of Assistant Professors on contractual basis in multiple disciplines for the academic session 2025–26

The appointments are purely temporary and will be made initially for 11 months, extendable based on performance or till regular recruitment, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria (Discipline-wise)

Assistant Professor – Forensic Science

• Ph.D. in relevant discipline
• First Class in M.Sc. Forensic Science or equivalent with specialization in Forensic Biology / Biotechnology / Genetics / Molecular Biology / Forensic Anthropology / Criminology
• Desirable: Minimum two research publications in reputed journals

Assistant Professor – Computer Science / Cyber Security / Digital Forensics

• Ph.D. in relevant discipline
• First Class in M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering / Cyber Security / Information Security / IT / Network Technology / Blockchain / Hardware Security
• Desirable:
• Minimum two publications in reputed journals
• Certifications in Ethical Hacking or Cyber Security

Assistant Professor – Physics

• Ph.D. in relevant discipline
• First Class in M.Sc. Physics or M.Sc. Forensic Science with specialization in Physics / Forensic Physics / Ballistics
• Desirable: Minimum two publications in reputed journals

Assistant Professor – Mathematics

• Ph.D. in relevant discipline
• First Class in M.Sc. Mathematics
• Desirable: Minimum two publications in reputed journals

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Age will be calculated as on the last date of application submission
• Relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms

Tenure of Appointment

• 11 months (Contractual)
• Extendable based on performance or institutional requirement

Consolidated Monthly Remuneration

• Assistant Professor (with Ph.D.): ₹90,000/- per month
• Assistant Professor (with NET / without Ph.D.): ₹75,000/- per month
• Lecturer (if appointed due to non-availability of eligible candidates): ₹68,000/- per month

• Tentative Interview Schedule: 2nd or 3rd week of January 2026

Mode of Selection

• Shortlisting based on eligibility
• Offline Personal Interview
• Screening test may be conducted if applications are high
• Final selection based on interview performance
