The Common University Entrance Test (Post Graduation) – CUET (PG) 2026 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to Postgraduate programmes (MA, MSc, MCom, MEd, LLM, MBA, MTech, and other PG courses) in Central Universities and other participating universities across India.
CUET PG provides a single-window national-level entrance examination for PG admissions for the academic session 2026–27.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official CUET PG portal within the prescribed dates.

Each course is mapped with a Question Paper Code, and candidates must select papers based on the university and programme they are applying for.

Age Limit

• No age limit to appear in CUET PG 2026
• Candidates must, however, fulfil age requirements (if any) prescribed by the respective universities

Educational Qualification

• Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation in 2026 are also eligible
• Final admission is subject to programme-wise eligibility of the participating university

Appearing in CUET PG does not guarantee admission.

CUET PG 2026 Exam Pattern

• Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Duration: 90 Minutes
• Number of Questions: 75 questions per paper
• Maximum Papers Allowed: Up to 4 Question Papers

Marking Scheme

• Correct Answer: +4 marks
• Incorrect Answer: –1 mark
• Unattempted: 0 mark

In case of multiple shifts, normalization based on NTA Score (Percentile) will be applied.

Medium of Question Papers

• Bilingual (English & Hindi) for most subjects
• Language papers in the respective language
• MTech / Higher Science papers only in English

For Up to Two Test Papers

• General: ₹1400
• Gen-EWS / OBC-NCL: ₹1200
• SC / ST / Third Gender: ₹1100
• PwD / PwBD: ₹1000
• Outside India Candidates: ₹7000

Additional Test Paper Fee (Per Paper)

• General: ₹700
• Reserved Categories: ₹600
• Outside India: ₹3500

How to Apply for CUET PG 2026

Step-by-Step Application Process

1.     Visit the CUET PG official website

2.     Register with personal details and create login credentials

3.     Fill the application form carefully

4.     Select Question Paper Codes (maximum 4)

5.     Choose exam cities (maximum 2 within state of address)

6.     Upload scanned photograph & signature

7.     Pay application fee online

8.     Download and save the Confirmation Page

Admit Card

• CUET PG Admit Card will be released online only
• Candidates must download it from the portal
• Admit card will contain exam date, shift, city & centre details
• No admit card will be sent by post or email

Result & Score Validity

• CUET PG 2026 score is valid for the academic year 2026–27 only
• NTA will share scores with participating universities
• No re-evaluation or re-checking of results is allowed

Admission Process

• Admission and counselling will be conducted individually by each university
• Universities will release:
• Cut-off lists
• Merit lists
• Counselling schedules
• CUET PG score is only an eligibility gateway, not a guarantee of admission

Reservation Policy

• Reservation as per Government of India norms (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS)
• PwD / PwBD candidates eligible for:
• Scribe facility
• Compensatory time
• Reservation rules are implemented by the admitting university, not NTA

• Incorrect or incomplete forms may be rejected
• No changes allowed after correction window
