NHM JK Psychiatrist Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 15 Posts

Short Information : National Health Mission Jammu and Kashmir (NHM JK) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of 15 Psychiatrist (Specialist) posts under the District Mental Health Programme (DMHP). Eligible candidates holding MBBS with MD/DNB in Psychiatry can apply offline from 05 February 2026 to 26 February 2026 through the official website jknhm.jk.gov.in.

Vacancy Details

Note:

• Vacancies are indicative and may increase or decrease.
• District-wise merit lists will be prepared.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• MBBS from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• MD/DNB in Psychiatry (or equivalent) from an NMC-recognized institution.
• Valid registration with NMC or J&K State Medical Council for both MBBS and PG qualification.

Domicile

• Applicant must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Preference will be given to candidates from the concerned district.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 65 years as on the last date of application.
• No minimum age limit specified.

Selection Process

1.    Application Screening – Verification of eligibility and documents.

2.    Merit List – District-wise merit prepared as per notified criteria.

3.    Viva-Voce – Assessment of knowledge, experience, and suitability.

4.    Final Selection – Based on combined academic score and Viva-Voce.

• MBBS Marks: Up to 60 Points
• PG Qualification: 10–20 Points
• Viva-Voce: 20 Points
