HSSC Steno Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 1952 Posts

Short Information : The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released a fresh notification under Advt No. 03/2026 for 1952 (increased) Stenographer vacancies. Eligible candidates with 12th/Graduation and shorthand skills can apply online from 02 February 2026 to 15 February 2026 through the official website hssc.gov.in.

This recruitment includes posts of Steno-Typist (Hindi/English/Both), Junior Scale Stenographer, Senior Scale Stenographer, and Executive Assistant (Steno) in various Haryana Government departments.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• 10+2 / Graduation from recognized board
• Hindi/Sanskrit as subject in Matric
• Required shorthand & typing speed as per post

Shorthand Standards (Key)

• Hindi Steno: 64 wpm, transcription 11 wpm
• English Steno: 80–100 wpm, transcription 15–20 wpm
• Accuracy: Errors not more than 4–8%

Age Limit (as on 15.02.2026)

• 18 to 42 Years
• Relaxation as per Haryana Govt rules

Application Fee

No Application Fee – FREE for all categories

Selection Process

Stage–I: Stenography Skill Test (Qualifying)

• Shorthand + Transcription
• Computer test (Kruti Dev 10 Hindi / Arial English)

Stage–II: Written Exam

• 100 MCQs – 100 Marks
• Duration: 105 Minutes
• No negative marking (–1 for unattempted)

Syllabus

• GK, Reasoning, Maths, Science – 20%
• Computer Knowledge – 10%
• Stenography Subject – 70%
• Haryana GK & Current Affairs

Allowances as per Haryana Govt norms.
