Overview

I-DAPT HUB Foundation in collaboration with CCIS, IIT (BHU), Varanasi, invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of System Engineer/Network Manager on a contractual basis. The appointment is initially for one year, extendable up to two years based on performance and project requirements.

The selected candidate will work closely with the I-DAPT HUB Foundation to manage and maintain enterprise-level IT infrastructure, servers, and networking systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Administer and secure Linux servers, including installation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of enterprise-grade servers and workstations.

• Manage thin clients, including setup, configuration, and centralized management.

• Handle storage systems such as NFS, SAN/NAS, RAID configurations, and database servers across Linux distributions.

• Oversee virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies, including virtual machine management using VMware, VCenter, VSphere, and KVM.

• Develop shell scripts and programs in at least one general-purpose language (Python, C/C++, or Java).

• Support network administration and basic server-switch-router configurations.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• MCA / BE / B.Tech (CS/IT) or equivalent with First Class from a recognized university.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience after the qualifying degree.

Essential Experience:

• Linux System Administration and security.

• Proficiency with SSH, Telnet, FTP, OS/driver installation, hardware/software diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with thin client administration, storage management (NFS, SAN/NAS, RAID), and database servers.

• Knowledge of virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies.

• Proficiency in shell scripting and at least one programming language (Python, C/C++, Java).

Desirable Experience:

• Familiarity with web technologies such as Django, Angular, MongoDB.

• Knowledge of web-based network switch management.

• Basic network configuration skills and use of networking tools like ping, traceroute/mtr, dig, iproute, SNMP, dynamic routing, etc.
