The Indian Army has released the official notification for 67th Short Service Commission (Technical) Course – Men, commencing in October 2026 at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA). Eligible unmarried male engineering graduates can apply online through the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineering graduates who aspire to serve the nation as commissioned officers in the Indian Army through the SSC (Tech) Entry.

Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Candidate must be:
· A citizen of India, or
· A subject of Nepal, or
· A person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with eligibility certificate (as applicable).
Age Limit (as on 01 October 2026)
· 20 to 27 years
· Born between 01 October 1999 and 30 September 2006 (both dates inclusive)
Educational Qualification
· Passed B.E./B.Tech in the notified engineering streams
OR
· Final year engineering students are also eligible, provided they pass the degree by 01 October 2026
Any mismatch between degree stream and online application will lead to rejection.

1. Shortlisting of Applications (based on cumulative percentage)
2. SSB Interview (5 Days)
o Stage I: Screening
o Stage II: Psychological Test, GTO, Interview

Training Details
· Training Academy: Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA)
· Training Duration: 49 Weeks
· Training Start: October 2026
Stipend During Training
· ₹56,100/- per month (Pay Level 10)
Rank, Pay & Allowances (After Commissioning)
· Rank on Commissioning: Lieutenant
· Pay Scale: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Level-10)
· Additional allowances:
o Dearness Allowance
o Military Service Pay (₹15,500/month up to Lt Col)
o HRA / Transport Allowance
o Field Area & Special Area Allowances

· Initial tenure: 10 years
· Extendable up to 14 years
· Option for Permanent Commission after 10 years (subject to eligibility & vacancy)
