MANIT Bhopal Walk-In Interview 2026 – JRF Recruitment under DRDO & MPCOST Projects

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, an Institute of National Importance, has released a Walk-In Interview notification for recruitment of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) under DRDO-ARMREB and MPCOST-Bhopal funded research projects.
These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the respective projects.

DRDO-ARMREB Project (Mechanical Engineering)

• Walk-In Interview Date: 12 February 2026
• Reporting Time: 10:00 AM
• Venue: Seminar Room, Ground Floor,
  Department of Mechanical Engineering, MANIT Bhopal

MPCOST Project (Chemistry Department)

• Walk-In Interview Date: 06 February 2026
• Time: As per departmental schedule
• Venue: Department of Chemistry, MANIT Bhopal

DRDO-ARMREB Project

• ₹37,000/- per month + HRA (as applicable)

MPCOST-Bhopal Project

• ₹20,000/- per month (as per MPCOST norms)

🎓 Educational Qualifications

DRDO-ARMREB (Mechanical Engineering Project)

• First Class M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc in:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Production Engineering
• Materials Science / Metallurgy
• Physics / Computer Science
• GATE or NET qualification is mandatory
• Desirable:
• CAD/CAM
• 3D Printing
• Electronics & simulation tools
• Research publications in SCI/SCIE/Scopus journals

MPCOST-Bhopal (Chemistry Project)

• M.Sc. in Chemistry / Forensic Science / Interdisciplinary Sciences
• Minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.5

🎂 Age Limit

• Maximum 30 years
• Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules

Project Duration

• DRDO-ARMREB Project:
  Up to 36 months (initially one year, extendable based on performance)
• MPCOST Project:
  One year (temporary)

Candidates must bring:

• Duly filled application form (from MANIT website)
• Updated CV
• Original certificates & self-attested photocopies
• GATE/NET scorecard (for DRDO project)
• Two passport-size photographs

📧 For DRDO project, candidates are advised to email their CV in advance to the Project Investigator.
