National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, an Institute of National Importance, has released an official notification for Walk-In Selection to recruit Field Officers on a contract basis for a funded research project.
This recruitment is purely temporary and project-based.

🎓 Educational Qualification
- Master of Social Work (MSW)
OR
- M.Sc. Psychology
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English and Kannada is mandatory
Desirable (Added Advantage):
- Research experience in suicide prevention
- Knowledge of Telugu and Hindi
- Experience in MS Excel and Google Sheets
Duties & Responsibilities
- Emergency-based intervention for suicide attempt and self-harm cases
- Telephonic follow-up with patients
- Data entry and maintenance using perform sheets and Google Sheets
- Field-based work in General Hospitals
- Willingness to work in district hospitals
📍 Work Location
👤 Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
(Age will be calculated as per NIMHANS rules)
💰 Salary / Emoluments
- ₹25,000/- per month
(Consolidated – No additional allowances)
Tenure of Appointment
- Total Project Duration: 1 Year
- Initial Appointment: 6 Months
- Extendable every 6 months based on:
- Performance
- Project requirement

- One set of photocopies
- NOC from Principal Investigator (if already working in any NIMHANS project)
